New Roundabout being constructed for the Trenton Connector

A new roundabout is being created for the Trenton Connector located in Pictou County Nova Scotia as part of the province’s five-year highway improvement plan. The Trenton-Abercrombie Connector is being listed on the provincial government’s newly released Five-Capital Highway improvement Plan.

The Nova Scotia Department of Transportation & Infrastructure Renewal has confirmed that the current plan is to resurface the asphalt between Highway 106 and Granton-Abercrombie Road and to replace the traffic signals with a new modern roundabout. It is also confirmed that the new design is currently being finalized and will be implemented in the coming months.

The Trenton Connector bridge currently connects access to Abercrombie and Granton.

A&W opening on East River Road in New Glasgow

A new A&W restaurant in New Glasgow is slated to be open.

It is located on East River Road right next to the Subway restaurant which is right across the street from the Aberdeen Shopping Centre. It is New Glasgow’s second A&W restaurant to be open as well as the third one in Pictou County overall as there are two other restaurants that are open in the Highland Square Mall and on North Foord Street in Stellarton.

The new standalone restaurant features a 42-seat dining area as well as a much-needed drive-thru that can ease traffic a little better much like the one in Stellarton.

If that wasn’t enough, there has been some speculation about an A&W restaurant opening up in Pictou at the rotary.

Possible news about A&W opening in Pictou Nova Scotia

There has been some speculation that an A&W restaurant may be coming to Pictou Nova Scotia. If rumors are really true then the town of Pictou might open one in the Pictou Rotary.
